REVIIRI
A scent can transport our mind to a lavender field, to grandmother's house or to different era, in just a second! The sense of smell, can help us recognize a person, it can make us feel fear, or even fall in love. We started to create movement material based on different scents. Memories associated with them brought us eventually to the 70s, enjoying athmosphere of the South of France. Working with the theme made us aware of the territory, too. How do we behave in private? And how do we conquer the common space? The performers are students of the Tampere Conservatory's dance and music vocational education. The work features skillful classical guitar music in the spirit of impressionism and captivating contemporary dance. Welcome - Bienvenue - to experience REVIIRI! Dance: Vocational Dance Education / Tampere Conservatoire Guitar: Vocational Music Education (guitar) / Tampere Conservatoire Choreography: Linda Kuha Music Direction: Kasperi Leponiemi Guitar teachers: Kasperi Leponiemi, Kimmo Kiviniemi Costume design: Laura Lipiäinen Performances: Thu 16.4.2026 at 13:00 and 19:00 Fri 17.4.2026 at 13:00 and 19:00 @ Vooninki, Finlayson Area (Väinö Linnan aukio 13, Tampere) Duration: 45min We do NOT use any scents or parfumes during the performance. WILD
Wild is unpredictable and free – but at the same time deeply rooted in its own environment and its cycles.
The short film depicts the experience of a child as they enter school age, when responsibilities start to tame ones nature. WILD reflects the desire to return to the cycle of nature, to a liberated state of being, even though expectations and obligations are already creeping into the mind.
9.8.2025 Premiere, Festivalleri, Tampere
Dance: Ruune Luickx
Choreography & cinematography: Linda Kuha
